GARLIC FESTIVALS

The U.S. is the sixth top producer of garlic, with much of its supply coming out of Gilroy, California, the self-proclaimed garlic capital of the world. Gilroy also lays claim to holding the granddaddy of all American garlic festivals on the final weekend of July.

While the U.S. is home to a good number of garlic festivals, Canada also pays homage to the bulb at events such as the Stratford Garlic Festival and the South Cariboo Garlic Festival in Lac La Hache, B.C.
